Dance Project, Raleigh. We danced in leotards in front of
a mirror with a dance teacher

Fire Station, Cary. We saw the fire engines and tried on
the clothes the fire men and women wear to protect them when
they fight a fire.
- African
American Dance Ensemble /Chuck Davis, Durham. Chuck made
us African outfits and we danced around the room and with our
parents.
- Cirque
du Soleil, Raleigh. We saw the big tent where the show goes
on and played with instruments from their band.
- Clyde
Jones, Bynum. We watched Clyde make amazing animals and we helped
paint them.
- Cumberland
County Partnership for Children, Fayetteville. We visited
a family resource center and checked out some neat toys.
- Dixie
Darlin' Cloggers, Shirley Finger, Waynesville, NC 828-456-5933.
We danced on Shirley's front porch and the kids taught Willa
how to clog. Clackity Clack!

Bulls, Durham. Wool-E. Bull was our tour guide to the Durham
Bulls Ballpark.
- Elmer
Gibson, Durham. Elmer helped us learn about jazz music and
we sang with him.
- Fascinate
–U, Fayetteville. We checked out their building area,
the tv studio and more, more, more!
- Finnabar
Farm Orange County, NC 919 929 6009. We rode ponies at Finnabar
Farm. Owner and riding teacher , Patricia Kiffney helped us
with our safety helmets and walked beside us as we learned to
ride the ponies.
- The Flower
Company of North Raleigh, Raleigh Barb Germiller showed us
around the shop and we made our own floral creations! 878-7878
- Great
Harvest Bread Company, Chapel Hill. We baked bread and had
a big birthday cookie.
- Hill
Ridge Farms, Youngsville. We took a hayride, picked out
pumpkins and mined for gemstones.

at Celebrity Dairy, Chapel Hill. We visited with very cute
goats.
- Johnston
County Partnership for Children, Selma. We had our eyes
checked and learned about the importance of car seats for young
children.
- Kathleen
Hannan, Bahama. Kathleen led us dancing with scarves and
singing in Spanish at the
Little River Family Resource Center.
- Little
Tennessee River Greenway. We had a wonderful guide who told
us about the vegetation, or plants, along the Little Tennessee
River. We even found a plant an interesting plant called a "ramp."

Escuelita School, Chapel Hill. Willa and a teacher read
a story in Spanish and English and we sang songs at this Spanish-immersion
preschool
- Museum
of Life and Science , Durham. We saw butterflies, visited
Carolina animals and rode on the train.

Museum of Art, Raleigh. We saw sculpture, paintings and
lots of cool art.
- NC
Museum of History, Raleigh. We saw American Indian artifacts
and danced a circle dance.

Museum of Natural Sciences, Raleigh. We met alligators and
dinosaurs!

School of the Arts, Winston-Salem. We visited the fabulous
costume department and put on all kinds of neat hats!

Symphony, Raleigh. We were lucky to visit the orchestra
behind the scenes and experience some instruments very close
up.
- The
North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center 919.477.5005. Volunteers
from the North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center helped us
be safe as we rode the ponies at Finnabar Farm. These volunteers
are specially trained to help children with special needs enjoy
and benefit from horseback riding. If you are looking for a

Handicapped Association (NARHA) website at www.narha.org.

Zoo, Asheboro. We went to the zoo and saw big animals and
went into their kitchen to see how they are fed!

Chapel Hill. We acted out a play with makeup and costumes.

Center for Health Education Raleigh, NC. We visited the
Poe Center for Health Education in
Raleigh and Nicole taught us about eating good foods, exercising
and getting enough rest. Then we went outside to their PlayWELL
Park and learned even more healthy tips as we played and had
fun.
- Quail
Ridge Books & Music, Raleigh. We went to the bookstore
and Willa helped us tell a story about an imaginary animal.
We drew a picture of our animal and all signed our names to
our masterpiece!
- Scrap
Exchange, Durham. We made hats and things and explored all
the fun barrels of stuff.
- Sportsman
Lanes Bowling, Siler City. Dads and their kids went bowling
and even got to see behind the lanes. 919-663-3775

Brigham, Cary. Willa is our host every week and helps us
tell those fun stories.
- Yoga
Class, Raleigh. We took a yoga class at Playspace in Raleigh.
